Tim has been teaching ICT and Project Management as a full time professor at Seneca College's School of School of Software Design & Data Science.

Through Original Logic Inc., Tim provided computer consulting services for more than 20 years. Systems integration into the client's business environment was the primary focus.

This means Tim did business systems analysis (what's your problem), system design (what's the solution), and project management (make it happen), with an emphasis on Internet-related technologies.

* MAPICS  AS/400 manufacturing system interface to Agile Product Data Management on Win/NT system using FTP, iSeries IFS (Integrated File System), and custom programming
* Web system to deliver stock market technical analysis service from Measuredmarkets Inc.
* Sabbatical at Trent University - completed B.Sc. in Computer Studies and Psychology. Projects included web system to deliver corporate training programs for ClearNET (now part of Telus) and investigation into technology and education issues.
* Information Systems Management for $175M distribution company for 2+ years. Improved quality and availability of systems. Increased departmental efficiency by one third. Implemented various EDI projects. Developed strategy for the change over of the company's entire software platform.
* Client/Server EIS using COGNOS Impromptu and PowerPlay for securities brokerages.
* Information Systems strategic planning and hardware/software evaluation and for a foods distribution company.
* Electronic Data Interchange: design, analysis and programming of EDI systems. EDI ANSI X.12 standard implementation for Just-In-Time customer ordering/replenishment systems. Also, custom Accounts Payable to bank's payment distribution system, General Ledger to parent company financial reporting.
* IBM Response Line: manned response desk for IBM's midrange user community assisting customers with problem identification, troubleshooting, strategic direction, communications configurations, etc.
* System/36 to AS/400 conversion: educated the 50+ user community; managed the company wide system test and change over; migrated S/36 code to the AS/400; set up IPL, backup, system maintenance procedures, security and device configurations.
* GST Implementation: Project Manager for a $120+ million distribution company. Coordinated all company departments; researched GST requirements; educated management and staff; managed customer communications; systems design & analysis; programming.

* extensive experience at all levels and with a wide range of applications such as Order Processing, Inventory Control, Sales Analysis, Landed Costing systems, EDI Just-In-Time replenishment
* Project Leader of many installations; responsible for research, development, marketing, installation and support of propriety Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger packages for a consulting company

* designed a high performance data base for the claims department automation project at a large insurance company

* analysis & design of a correspondence logging, tracking and retrieval system for an Ontario government ministry
* extensively modified a client data base / diary / sales call system to integrate it into the business of an IBM midrange hardware broker/reseller.

* study of a large packaging manufacturer's operations and Information Systems requirements
* similar studies done for a personal care products manufacturer / distributor
* detailed evaluation of Parts Distribution software for an electronics distribution company

* development and implementation of various productivity tools for programming and general operations
* e.g. security breach monitoring, job scheduling, unattended nightly housekeeping, disk usage analyzer
